RetailMeNot: Creating Awareness for the Brand in Germany

RetailMeNot is a leading coupon site that provides shoppers worldwide with coupon codes, exclusive offers and cashback deals from their favorite brands and retailers. The U.S. company was entering Germany, and tapped Allison+Partners to help with their launch to achieve visibility in an already crowded German couponing market.

We leveraged RetailMeNot’s success in the U.S. to position the brand as a new and fierce competitor to existing German couponing sites. The media awareness campaign focused on educating consumers and merchants on the benefits of couponing and explaining the business model behind it. We also helped execute a consumer PR campaign called the “RetailMeNot Fashion Challenge,” where consumers sent in pictures with fashionable outfits and a jury of noted fashion bloggers selected the best outfits.

RetailMeNot received extensive coverage in key consumer titles for this campaign, including stand-alone stories in key marketing and e-commerce titles.
