ZipRealty
Making top-tier media home sweet home for ZipRealty
Innovative Web concept. Controversial start-up. Buzzing new industry. These phrases were commonly used in successful media relations campaigns that Allison & Partners conducted for ZipRealty at its launch in 1999 and throughout the company's formative years and its IPO.
Flash forward ten years… The Web bust has passed. Online real estate is legitimate. ZipRealty is used in the same breath as traditional brokerages like Coldwell Banker and RE/MAX. More than 80 percent of buyers hit the Internet as step one in the home buying process. And a whole new crop of online real estate tools have entered the marketplace. With the honeymoon long over and the housing market in shambles, we needed to keep the media momentum alive for ZipRealty.
The Allison & Partners team developed a communications strategy designed to drive site traffic, produce more client leads and raise the company's profile within the financial markets. We packaged the site's unique data for the media in quarterly “Home Hunter” reports, leveraged local ZipRealty agent and customer case studies, ZipRealty's corporate profile and executive perspectives on real estate legislation and trends to establish the company as a credible source for residential real estate information nationwide, generating significant top-tier press.
Allison & Partners generated more than 2 billion impressions for ZipRealty last year, which included appearances by the CEO on such high-profile outlets as Good Morning America, NBC's Nightly News, CNBC and Fox Business News. As a result, the site is now one of the top five most trafficked real estate sites on the Web and the second most popular residential real estate brokerage online.
