A&P Partners with Dr. John O’Brien

Washington, D.C., March 23, 2010 - Allison & Partners, one of the nation's fastest growing independent public relations and public affairs firms, today announced a strategic partnership with Dr. John O'Brien, PharmD, MPH, a leading public health expert who is a frequent speaker on issues ranging from chronic disease to public health policy. Dr. O'Brien will work with Allison & Partners' rapidly growing healthcare practice to help clients navigate the social and behavioral aspects of public health and health care reform.

As the Executive Director of the Responsible Health Institute, Dr. O'Brien provides research and education on health policy, health literacy, and medication adherence. In addition to serving as a professor at the College of Notre Dame School of Pharmacy and an adjunct professor at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, Dr. O'Brien has served as a Senior Advisor to Allison & Partners' client the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) as a spokesperson for the industry's chronic disease prevention and wellness initiatives. He is a frequent guest on television and radio programs whose work has appeared in publications ranging from BusinessWeek to Kaiser Health News.

A former Congressional Fellow for U.S. Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr., Dr. O'Brien is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and studied pharmacy and public policy at the University of Florida.
