Allison & Partners Honors Stephen D. Pisinski Memorial Scholarship Recipient
Award Honors Paxman for Outstanding Achievement
SAN FRANCISCO (Nov. 23, 2009) — In recognition of her outstanding achievement and commitment to public relations, Brittany Paxman of The University of Texas at Austin has been named the recipient of the 2009 Stephen D. Pisinski Memorial Scholarship, provided by Allison & Partners through the PRSA Foundation.
The award was presented to Paxman at the PRSSA 2009 National Conference Awards Ceremony and Dinner in San Diego on November 9. Paxman received a certificate of achievement and $3,000 in scholarship money.

Pisinski commendation is one of our oldest scholarships, with a long line of successful winners. I look forward to seeing Brittany add to their list of accomplishments in the profession. ”

Paxman is a senior majoring in public relations with concentrations in business and computer science. “This award is a true honor, ” Paxman said. “I was extremely surprised to find out that the committee had chosen me. I plan to use this money to finance my last semester of undergraduate study. I hope that I will one day be able to give back to our profession in a similar capacity. ”
The Stephen D. Pisinski Memorial Scholarship was established in 2002 by Allison & Partners in memory of Steve Pisinski, APR, Fellow PRSA and founder of The Montgomery Group. Candidates must be in their junior or senior year of college studying either public relations, journalism or communications. They must also be members of PRSSA and maintain a GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 system. Each fall, a $1,500 scholarship is awarded to a qualified public relations student chosen by the Selection Committee. For 2009, Allison & Partners increased the value to $3,000. This award is administered through the PRSA Foundation.
