Allison & Partners Expands to the Pacific Northwest, Adds Tom Biro to Leadership Team

Rapidly Expanding Mid-Sized Independent Public Relations Agency Adds Digital Media Strategies, Entertainment and Corporate Communications Leader Tom Biro to Build Presence in the Pacific Northwest

Allison & Partners, one of the nation's fastest growing strategic communications, public relations and public affairs firms, is announcing the opening of its Seattle office, its ninth office and first location in the Pacific Northwest. The agency also announces that it has added digital media and entertainment public relations expert Tom Biro to its senior leadership team. Biro, who joins the firm after serving as Senior Director, Communications at MTV, will manage the agency's growth in the region.

Biro joins the firm at a time that Allison & Partners is poised for significant growth, following its expansion into the Atlanta and South Carolina regions earlier this year and the launch of healthcare and public affairs practices. Despite the economic downturn, the firm has maintained double digit growth and has seen a steady increase in both new and organic client growth.

Prior to joining Allison & Partners, Tom Biro managed public relations activities for MTV and MTV.com, generating awareness of MTV's business successes and integrated marketing efforts, and helped to build on MTV's digital initiatives, which included supervising the network's Twitter feed and directing other digital outreach. Previously, he was Vice President of Digital Media for MWW Group's DialogueMedia digital practice, where he developed social media campaigns for clients that included Nikon, Samsung, Anheuser-Busch, Gardenburger, Volkswagen, Sun Microsystems and more. Prior to joining MWW Group, he worked for Deutsche Telekom and American Express in a marketing/public relations capacity in addition to running his own blog, TheMediaDrop, and blogging for AOL/Weblogs, Inc.'s AdJab, TVSquad and Cinematical blogs. Biro is a PRWEEK columnist covering the intersection between public relations and the digital space and a frequent speaker on digital media strategies.
