Paul leads the development of All Told in the Asia Pacific region and Allison+Partners’ business in Hong Kong, with a mission to help brands tell compelling stories that drive results.
Paul has lived in the region since 1992 and has broad experience in both communications agencies and in-house marketing roles for a range of brands in the technology, consumer, online, automotive and financial services sectors. Key clients served include Citi, eBay, FedEx, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Fox International Channels, General Motors, HP, HTC, Microsoft, and Tencent, among others.
Paul previously held regional leadership positions at agencies Text100, Bite, and Upstream Asia. Prior to that, he led global marketing and communications for NASDAQ-listed Global Sources. Originally from the United Kingdom, Paul has a BA in Economics from the University of Manchester. He is tolerated by his wife and teenage twin daughters.
What’s the most interesting thing that you do every week?
Meeting with clients that pose new challenges and working with smart people to come up with solutions that work.
What’s your most treasured possession?
My bicycle. It looks cool and goes fast, unlike its rider.
What was the best advice you ever received?
Don’t be a yes-man. It’s simple but critical every day, particularly working in an agency.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in the last year?
To quote Kipling, “to meet with triumph and disaster…And treat those two imposters just the same.”
