Senior Vice President
Emily Wilson is a seasoned communications professional with 15 years of experience who has served as a marketing and media liaison for clients including international hotel brands, world famous chefs, independent luxury properties, niche travel brands, various food products, restaurant chains, automotive companies and more. Emily is known for her creativity and break-through thinking, and has been responsible for many large scale award winning campaigns including throwing a birthday party for the world’s oldest dog for her pet food client, and pairing Hilton Hotels & Resorts with Onion Labs to launch its Hilton Urgent Vacation Care Center. Emily currently leads large scale consumer accounts including Nike, Focus Brands (Moe’s Southwest Grill, Schlotzsky’s Café & Bakery and McAlister’s Deli), Sony Professional and Boxed Water.
Prior to joining the Allison team, Emily was a Vice President in Brand Marketing at Burson-Marsteller. In addition to leading global client accounts including T.G.I. Fridays, Marriott International, Lincoln Motor Company, Accenture Hospitality, Oakley, and Hotelplanner.com, Emily was actively involved with new business and strategic growth for the company and the LA office.
Prior to joining the Burson team, Emily was the Managing Director at Nancy J. Friedman Public Relations (NJFPR) in NYC, representing global travel brands and famed individual properties.
As the Managing Director at NJFPR, a travel / hospitality firm, Emily was the second in command at the Agency and was actively engaged in new business, client management, media relations, office administration and directly supervised the client services team. Clients included Gansevoort Hotel Group (with locations in NYC and Turks + Caicos), Westin Hotels & Resorts and Sheraton Hotels & Resorts worldwide, Fodor's Travel, Sea Island, The Inn at Little Washington, Waldorf Astoria Chicago and many more. While at NJFPR, Emily worked closely with her clients to launch new properties (including star studded grand openings), reposition existing destinations, recruit top influencers and A-list Hollywood talent to try the properties, and get her clients continued exposure for new programming and on-property offerings.
Before her time in NYC, Emily was a Vice President in the Lifestyle Collection at Murphy O'Brien PR in Los Angeles. Clients included Harry & David, Panera Bread, Morton's The Steakhouse, Emergen-C, Dogswell, Marie Callender's, La Salsa, See's Candies, Earthbound Farm and more.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an astronaut. When that didn’t work out, I found PR.
What's your biggest success?
My daughter Paisley. She is the thing I am most proud of. Seeing the world through the eyes of a child has been transformative for me.
What book has had the most impact on you?
It has to be a tie between Joan Didion’s “Year of Magical Thinking” and Dave Eggers’ “A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius.”
What’s your most treasured possession?
My wedding ring. It is from the 1920s and my amazing hubby secretly purchased it for me after I eyed it for many months in a store window by our old apartment in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.
