Senior Vice President
With close to two decades of experience in public relations, Sherri Poall is a SVP in the Consumer practice at Allison+Partners providing strategic counsel on integrated consumer marketing campaigns and corporate reputation programs. She has worked with a variety of clients in the consumer packaged goods, food and beverage and consumer tech space, ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Allison+Partners, Sherri was a senior managing director at RF|Binder where she led the Wines of Germany, Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts packaged coffee accounts. She was also Vice President at FleishmanHillard where her clients included Procter & Gamble (Tide, Iams and Eukanuba pet foods), Yahoo! and AT&T. Thanks to a long history of developing and executing award-winning PR campaigns, she has developed a particular expertise in marketing to women. Sherri began her career as a book publicist at HarperCollins Publishers, representing authors such as poet Allen Ginsberg and cosmetics entrepreneur Bobbi Brown. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Colgate University with a BA in English.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Art historian. Yes, I was the art nerd who knew the difference between a Manet and a Monet at age twelve.
What do you most value in your colleagues?
The ability to get things done with grit, determination and a smile.
What’s your most treasured possession?
A sense of humor.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in the last year?
To quote Ray Bradbury, “Sometimes you just have to jump out the window and grow wings on the way down.”
