Marcel Goldstein

Marcel Goldstein brings more than 20 years of experience to the Corporate practice at Allison+Partners. As a Senior Vice President, Marcel provides strategic counsel, crisis communications, issues management, media strategies and account management services to clients. His extensive background focuses on developing brand awareness strategies and bringing them to life for multi-billion dollar global organizations, including Underwriters Laboratories (UL), DuPont, PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, Computer Sciences Corp (CSC), PeopleSoft, Sun Microsystems, EDS, Computer Associates, Polaroid and Prudential Securities. 

Previously, Marcel was Director of Public Relations for Computer Sciences Corp (CSC), where he managed the global public relations function for a $13 billion technology services company undertaking a significant business transformation. He handled crisis and issues management, financial communications such as acquisitions and divestitures, and major strategic campaigns for the company. 

Prior to CSC, Marcel worked for a wide variety of public relations agencies, ranging from large global firms, such as Ogilvy PR Worldwide and Edelman, to technology specialist firms, such as Fitzgerald Communications. He has lived and worked in several U.S. markets, including Boston, Los Angeles/Orange County, Silicon Valley and Washington, D.C. 

While at Ogilvy PR Worldwide, Marcel managed Ogilvy Washington’s Corporate and Technology practice, overseeing a group portfolio that included DuPont, Computer Sciences Corp (CSC), Lenovo, LexisNexis, Tandberg, Savvis, Silicon Graphics and others. 

Marcel holds a B.A. from the University of Delaware and an M.A. from Emerson College. In addition, he completed a Certification in Financial Management from Cornell University and Accreditation in Public Relations from the Public Relations Society of America. 

Who has had the biggest impact on your career and why?

Coach Phil Jackson. I aspire to achieve his Zen-like leadership style.

Can you tell us something about you that might surprise most people who know you?

I drove a 44-passenger school bus to pay tuition in college.
