Lydia Wilbanks brings more than three decades of consumer and corporate communications to Allison+Partners, where she is responsible for increasing the agency’s footprint in the Southeast and providing corporate communications counsel to clients.
Lydia joins the firm after managing her own award-winning agency in Birmingham, Wilbanks Agency, which she built to 12 employees and more than $1 million in revenues. Prior to that, she focused deeply in marketing and communications for the fashion industry, holding senior positions for companies such as Avondale Mills, Cotton Incorporated and Macy’s Inc.
Lydia has always been heavily involved in the community, holding board positions with Southern Environmental Center, March of Dimes, Girls, Inc. and Birmingham Business Alliance, the Guggenheim Museum and Fashion Group International. She is a graduate of Boston University and the Tobe-Coburn School in New York City, and currently lives in Atlanta with her three children.

I wish people knew about the collaborative aspect of the company. It’s amazing!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A fashion designer.
What book has had the most impact on you?
Memories, Dreams and Reflections by Carl Jung.
What’s your biggest success?
Launching my start up, Haute Pink, an online magazine and ecommerce site targeted at affluent southern women.
What was the best advice you ever received?
Not to take myself too seriously.
