Karyn oversees client relations and develops strategic media plans and C-suite thought leadership programs for technology, consumer, and corporate brands. With 15 years of combined journalism and public relations experience, Karyn has provided senior-level counsel to startups, Fortune 500s and everything in between and spearheaded domestic and global communications campaigns for a variety of our B2B and B2C clients, including Public Interest Registry, Lattice Engines, Neustar, Rally Software, Counsyl, National Restaurant Association, KPMG Corporate Finance LLC and the National 4-H Council.
Prior to joining Allison+Partners in 2008, Karyn worked in New York as a senior publicist for Entertainment Weekly – a magazine where she first started her career as a writer in 2002. In this capacity, Karyn helped the magazine enter the digital age by developing and rolling out a robust consumer marketing and PR campaign for EW.com to help drive online traffic and advertising partnerships.
Karyn – like many Georgetown grads – also worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative assistant and speechwriter out of college and served as an advisor in the areas of where technology, foreign affairs and immigration. She then went on to receive her Masters of Science from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
