Jerry Zhu is Managing Director of the Beijing office and a recognized expert in corporate communications. Jerry has broad experience in crisis and issues management, public affairs, B2B communications and technology communications.
Prior to joining Allison+Partners, Jerry was the General Manager of Century PR, a boutique public relations agency focused on corporate communications. Clients included Honeywell, Zynga, Happy Life and CITIC group. Before founding Century PR in 2010, Jerry held senior positions at several international PR agencies. He was the Country Manager for PPR, Managing Supervisor at FleishmanHillard, and worked for many years at Hill & Knowlton, Manning Selvage & Lee, and Burson-Marsteller.
Jerry served as one of the core team members for Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee, providing counseling and crisis management for the government agency. Before entering the public relations industry, Jerry was a diplomat for 7 years. During his time as a diplomat, he was awarded the highest honor in the country and was received by President Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao.
Jerry holds a BA from the University of International Studies and a post graduate diploma in PR from Beijing University.
Who has had the biggest impact on your career and why?
A lot of people around me taught me something over the years. In Chinese we say, “Among any three people, there must be something I can learn from them ( 三人行必有我师).”

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a photographer.
