Bill brings more than two decades of experience in China to the Allison+Partners’ team, providing strategic counsel on corporate reputation management, executive profiling, issue/crisis management and corporate responsibility. His clients have included multi-national companies such as Coca-Cola, Bayer and P&G, local Chinese enterprises, government departments, and non-governmental organizations. Previously, Bill also held senior leadership roles at APCO, MSL and Burson-Marsteller.
Prior to working in public relations, he was an analyst of East Asian political and security issues with the private intelligence firm, Strategic Forecasting (Stratfor). He was also the China chief representative of Communications Consulting, a training and human resources consultancy in Beijing. Bill is a native of Saratoga, NY and holds Master’s degrees in Public Affairs and Asian Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. He is fluent in Mandarin and currently resides in Shanghai with his wife.

My parents; they always encouraged me to do what I love.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Writer, spy, and philosopher.
What book has had the most impact on you?
The Oxford English-Chinese / Chinese-English Dictionary; for many years I never left home without it.
What do you love about your job?
I work at the intersection of Chinese politics, media, society and global business; it’s never dull.
